Treatments

Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive system of healing that includes a variety of treatment methods, each designed to restore balance and promote wellness. Among the most recognised therapies are acupuncture, which involves stimulating specific points on the body with fine needles. It is considered a safe and non-invasive treatment when administered by a registered, degree-qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner.

In addition to acupuncture, other Chinese Medicine techniques such as moxibustion, Gua Sha, cupping, herbal formulas, dietary and lifestyle habits all contribute to the holistic approach of the medicine.

  • At your first appointment, a comprehensive assessment of your health history and current concerns will be addressed to develop a holistic understanding of your well-being. This includes discussions about digestion, sleep, pain, emotional health, medical history, and, or specific gynaecology related issues. As an acupuncturist we will observe your energy, voice, complexion, tongue, and pulse to gain deeper insights into your overall condition.

Based on this evaluation, a personalised treatment plan will be created, which may incorporate acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, abdominal cupping, gua sha, Tuina, qigong and dietary guidance. Acupuncture needles are typically retained for at least 25 minutes per session. Acupuncture uses only single-use, sterile needles to ensure patient safety. Since acupuncture has a physiological effect on the body, factors such as treatment duration and frequency will be carefully considered and discussed with your practitioner.

  • A follow up appointment will continue to address individualised treatment plan and other areas of concern if necessary.
